Learning Tips for Crack CA Intermediate Exam
Chartered Accountancy (CA) is a professional certification in accounting. CAs, or Chartered Accountants, influence virtually every aspect of finance, including taxation, auditing, and business administration. The role of an accountant has become more intense and sophisticated in the current context as GST, demonetization and other accounting regulatory measures affect the Indian accounting and economic system.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) regulates the CA profession in India. The ICAI provides the CA course in 3 levels, namely the CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and the CA Final.
ICAI did that CA Intermediate the first step in gaining extensive knowledge of various finance and accounting topics while preparing for the CA program.
In this blog, we are going to discuss some tips that will surely help you master the CA intermediate exam and pass it with flying colors.
Tips for cracking CA Intermediate
1. Know your curriculum
The first and most important step is to familiarize yourself with the syllabus that you would study during the course duration. We advise you to get an idea of the curriculum in order to identify your strengths and weaknesses and work on them accordingly. Knowing the course will also help you come up with a strategy that works best for you.

2. Create a study plan
In order to pass all exams, not just the CA Intermediate, you must adhere to a strict schedule. That would allow you to have a routine and monitor your time. Monitoring your time is handy because it lets you spot areas that are taking up your time the most and areas that are really easy for you.
However, when we say you must set a schedule, we mean set a realistic schedule. We don’t expect you to study 24/7 because you’re obviously not a robot. So create a schedule that includes enough breaks so you can take some time to recharge.
3. Gather the right study material
Exams like the CA Intermediate have a lot of material floating around on the internet for free. Who says all this material would be best for you? We hope you understand what we are saying – find a course that best suits your needs and learning style and stick to it strictly.
Also note that the CA syllabus is revised frequently. Therefore, please ensure that any material you refer to is up to date and applicable to the year for which you wish to take the exam. Click for CA Inter study material
4. No number of revisions will ever be enough
As the saying goes: practice makes perfect! We don’t mean that you go through the syllabus over and over again. But what we mean is that you always approach the syllabus with a broader thought process and with various tips and tricks to master it. Keep revising the previously completed syllabus while always picking up new areas. This would help you to strengthen your previous concepts while also linking the new concepts to the old ones.
5. Understanding instead of memorizing
We always encourage our students to understand concepts rather than memorize them. It always helps you in the long run as your memory may not support you 5-10 years later. So it’s more than likely that you’ll forget such hard-earned concepts. But when you understand and learn something, it’s burned into your memory. Believe us, we’ve tried this approach countless times.
6. Solve mocks and previous year’s work
It is important to resolve previous papers, ICAI mock papers and revision test papers as this will help you get a taste of the exam pattern. You get a feeling for the level of difficulty of the exam and can analyze your performance again and again. Putting yourself in an exam-like environment also prepares you for D-Day and makes you feel comfortable staying focused during the exam.
For every exam, be it this CA Intermediate level or the CA final exam, what matters most is your dedication and commitment to the exam. The hardest part of an exam journey is staying focused as today’s age offers so many distractions. So it’s very easy to lose sight of your goals and we understand that because we feel you!
Therefore, our only suggestion to you is to remind yourself each day, until the day of your exam, why you are taking the exam and what it means to you. That way, your goals would appear in front of you every time you get distracted or don’t stick to your schedule. It will have a big impact on how well you prepare.
So we wish you the best of luck in this journey of realizing your dream of becoming a CA. Check out ours CA courses where the best skills will help you achieve your dreams!
