The dedication of an Agricultural Extension Officer (AEO) G Santosh His job and innovative spirit put smiles on the faces of several farmers in Tadkal, Kangti Mandal, Telangana.
He made some suggestions and made farmers aware of the preparation, use and benefits of this waste decomposer during the 2021 season in Kharif. By following the advice of AEO Santosh, the farmers of Babulgaon village in Kangti Mandal, Sangareddy District, Telangana are getting good results and saying that we will use them again next season … Villagers are also impressed with the results of the waste decomposer .
By breaking down plant / crop residues in the field and releasing enzymes, waste decomposer encourages the growth of soil microorganisms and creates a favorable environment for nutrient release. Waste decomposers act as bio-fertilizers, bio-control agents and restorers of soil health.
How do you prepare a waste decomposer?
Take 2 kg of jaggery and mix it with 200 liters of water in a plastic barrel.
Now take 1 bottle of waste decomposer and pour the entire contents into a plastic drum with a jaggery drum.
To achieve even distribution of the waste decomposer in a barrel, mix it properly with a wooden stick.
Cover the drum with paper or cardboard and stir it once or twice a day.
After 5 days, the drum solution will be creamy.
Note 1: Farmers could make the waste decomposition solution from the above solution repeatedly. To do this, 20 liters of waste decomposition solution are mixed with 2 kg of jaggery and 20 liters of water in a barrel.
Note 2: Farmers can continuously make this solution from this waste decomposer for the rest of their lives.
Applying the waste decomposer within 21 days of application, 1000 liters per acre changes the biological and physical properties of all soil types (acidic and alkaline), helping up to 4 lakh earthworm populations on 1 acre of land in just six. to generate months.
Nowadays we are striving for sustainable agriculture and the government is also promoting Zero Budget Natural Farming as chemical farming is extremely dangerous to both our health and soil health … So it is time to gradually switch to organic farming.
