Assam’s Minister of Education Ranoj Pegu has made an important announcement regarding the SEBA HSLC and AHSEC HS 2022 exams. According to the announcement, both Grade 10 and Grade 12 exams will begin on March 15, 2022. While the Secondary Education Board, the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (SEBA HSLC) refers to grade 10, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) refers to grade 12. Both board exams should be held on the same day in the offline Mode begin at affiliated schools across the state.
Several states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, have announced their dates for the Grade 10 and 12 exams for the current academic year 2021-22. So it’s not surprising that Assam chose to join the list by announcing the board’s scrutiny routine.
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu recently held talks with several officials from Sarba Siksha Abhiyan about the 2021-22 state exams. At the meeting it was decided that the exams for grades 10 and 12 will begin in the second week of March 2022. The state school board will try to complete it by the first week of April 2022.
Most state and central boards choose to conduct their board exams in February-March-April 2022. So that the academic activities for the coming year 2022-23 are not delayed. The country’s education system has suffered significant deficits over the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Against the background of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the state education minister also had to make another big announcement. Accordingly, he said during the media briefing that a mass vaccination campaign was being carried out in each district. During this campaign, 15 schools in each district will be visited every day to vaccinate as many students as possible.
The central government has already approved states to vaccinate people between the ages of 15 and 18. Since the pupils in grades 10 and 12 fall into this age group, the state government is planning to carry out this vaccination campaign before the examinations before the committee. Several states, including Maharashtra, will also be running vaccination campaigns from January 2022 so that most students will be vaccinated before the board exam.
If this vaccination schedule works, then the grade 10 and 12 board exams in 2022 will most likely be conducted in the traditional way, i.e. the offline pen-and-paper format. Of course, due to the current circumstances, certain changes will be introduced in the board pattern.
