In the run-up to the crucial board examination in the second semester for students in grades 10 and 12, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken serious note of the fact that certain “misleading” and “confusing” information is being disseminated by some online media platforms.
The exams in Term 1 have already been completed and the CBSE has not yet announced the dates for the exams in Term 2.
In its notice released Monday, the CBSE said, “Some online media outlets have been found to be disseminating false information and confusing audiences by using terms such as breaking news about important changes to exam patterns in Class X and XII, Term 2 Board Exams.”
In the public consultation in the interests of the students, CBSE said: “The board had announced the changes in the examination schedule (mentioned in circular no. 51 of July 5, 2021). The exams of the 1st term have already been completed and the examination format for the 2nd term is also mentioned in the same circular. “
The CBSE has advised the public only to check the official website https://www.cbse.gov.in for current and authentic information.
In the July 5, 2021 circular, CBSE had stated that the Term 2 exam / year-end exam would only be held based on the streamlined Term II curriculum (i.e. approximately 50% of the total curriculum). This exam would take place from March to April 2022 in the exam centers designated by the board.
