GATE 2022 access card update: The ticket for GATE 2022, which was originally scheduled to be released on January 3rd, will be released today.

According to reports, Indian Institute of Technology, Khragpur (IIT) will issue the entrance ticket for GATE 2022 after 10am.

Once published, the GATE Admission Card 2022 will be published on its official website at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates must enter their Registration ID and Password to download the Exam Hall Ticket.

While the IITKGP GATE 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on February 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th, 2022, the online computer-based exam will be held in two shifts each day.

GATE 2022 admission ticket: Steps for online download

Step 1: Visit the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to the GATE 2022 ticket option [link not yet active].

Step 3: Enter the credentials.

Step 3: Download and print out the GATE 2022 admission ticket.

Candidates must wear their face masks while appearing for the exam.

Candidates must wear open-toe shoes such as slippers, sandals instead of closed-toe shoes. Apart from that, the clothes should not have large buttons.

Admission ticket GATE 2022: Prohibited items in the examination room

Candidates should not bring the following items into the exam room.

  • Smart or digital watches
  • pagers
  • health band
  • USB sticks
  • electronic pen
  • Logbooks/geometry box
  • Mobile phones
  • Bluetooth
  • headphone
  • microphones
  • wallet/handbag

New papers

The two new papers (GE and NM) will offer direct benefits to graduates in these two fields, especially when the country needs human resources with advanced skills in the shipbuilding industry and geospatial.
Geomatics (GE)
The work contains the General Aptitude (GA) section (15 points), which applies to all work of GATE 2022.
The rest of the work consists of two parts covering the syllabus: Part A (55 credits) and Part B (30 credits).
Part A is mandatory for all candidates.
Part B contains two optional sections: Section I and Section II. Candidates must choose one of these during the exam. No separate score and ranking is provided based on section selection.

Shipbuilding and ship technology (NM)
The work contains the General Aptitude (GA) section (15 points), which applies to all work of GATE 2022.
The remainder of the paper will have 85 points covering the syllabus.
