Bully-bye app: Neeraj Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind of the “bully-bye app” case, has been suspended from an engineering school in Madhya Pradesh. A college official announced on Friday. Bishnoi, a student at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) on the Bhopal campus, was arrested by police from Jorhat in Assam on Thursday.
Police said Bishnoi, 21, is the main conspirator in the case and allegedly helped develop a controversial app that allegedly auctioned photos of hundreds of Muslim women. The official said that shortly after Bishnoi’s involvement in the case became known, the VIT administration took action against him. VIT’s campus, Bhopal, is located in the Sehore district, approximately 100 km from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

“We immediately suspended Bishnoi from college after receiving information from the media and later from Sehore police. Depending on which details become known next, management will take the next action.
Sehore Police Additional Superintendent Sameer Yadav said that according to the college authorities, Bishnoi is a sophomore in B.Tech course and has only attended online courses until now because of the online covid epidemic -Courses are held. He said that according to the college authorities, Bishnoi was a talented student.
Delhi police said Bishnoi had been taken from Jorhat to the country’s capital, where he had taken on his role in the case. With the arrest of Bishnoi, the Delhi police said in a statement that they had resolved the matter related to the “Bully by App” hosted on the GitHub platform. This is the fourth arrest in this case.
