14th Treasury Department: Deposits on Jan Dhan accounts exceed Rs 1.5 lakh crore

  • According to the latest data from the Treasury Department, deposits in bank accounts are under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme have crossed Rs 1.5 lakh crore mark.
  • The total balance of the accounts under the Jan Dhan program was recorded at Rs 1.50.939.36 billion at the end of December 2021.
  • The data showed that over € 44.23 million accounts were opened under the program.
  • 9 billion accounts were opened with public banks and 8.05 billion with regional rural banks.
