Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is now considering taking the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) in the first week of February.
While the university has finished all preparations for the entrance test, the DAVV plans to open the registration window by next week.
“The university plans to announce the exam dates by the end of this week. The test will most likely be carried out in the last week of January or in the first week of February ”, said DAVV Vice Chancellor Dr. Renu Jain to TOI.
According to the updated list of subjects, the entrance test will only be carried out for 32 subjects this year, in contrast to the previous test, which included 44 subjects.
The entrance examination is carried out for around 900 places.
The DAVV has already drawn up the changed syllabus for the entrance exam and the candidates have to go through the syllabus as some changes have been made by the study committees of various subjects, said DET coordinator Dr. Abhay Kumar.
Eligible candidates may need to apply online for the entrance test in online mode via MP, he added.
The entrance test is carried out in pen-and-paper format, the DAVV wants to ensure that the transparency of the examination is maintained and that the university will probably decide to have the entrance test carried out by a government agency. The registration window for DET will open for two weeks. TNN
