He is a BBA student at a private university in Gurugram. He passed the NEET 2019 exam and was admitted to DY Patil Medical College in Pune for the MBBS program. After a fortnight of the course, however, he realized that this was not a career path he wanted to pursue.

Ritik used his senior year studying for the 2021 CAT exam. According to the topper, he studied at least 7 to 8 hours a day for the CAT. The topper also announced that he had started studying for the CAT exam eight months before the exam. Due to the closure of institutes due to the COVID situation, Ritik found more time to study for the exam. Additionally, it took him some time to reconnect with math, having been out of contact for the past five years. He prepared mainly by reading Arun Sharma’s books on data interpretation, verbal skills, etc. He also took advantage of the online resources by looking at various YouTube channels and academic portals that provided insight into the CAT exam and its curriculum.

For the CAT preparation, Ritik emphasizes the need to take mock exams. He added that in order to understand the paper sample, one needs to complete as many mock and sample tasks as possible, as this is very useful on the day of the exam. His graduation opportunities were limited because he hadn’t completed a math degree in 12th grade. He then opted for an ordinary private university and studied BBA, but strived to pass the CAT exam and enroll at a renowned university.

Ritik also said interest was a key factor in his preparation for the CAT exam. He said it was important to keep pursuing your interests as this will help reduce stress.

He set an example for other ambitious candidates for CAT 2022 and demonstrated that people from different backgrounds can successfully pass the CAT exams. According to him, the CAT exam wasn’t as difficult as the NEET exam. With enough practice and commitment, anyone can pass the CAT. If you use sensitivity, you have a good chance of passing the exam. Ritik goes on to mention using social media, playing cricket and reading books in preparation for CAT 2021.
