Which courses are eligible for GATE Exam 2025

  1. BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharm– The student is currently in or has already completed the 3rd year or higher
  2. B. Arch– The student is currently in or has already completed the 3rd year or higher
  3. B.Sc.(Research)/B.S.– The student is currently in or has already completed the 3rd year or higher
  4. Pharm D (after 10+2)– Student is currently in or has already completed 3rd/4th/5th/6th year
  5. MBBS/ BDS/ BV.Sc– 5th / 6th / 7th or higher semester or already completed
  6. MSc/MA/MCA/equivalent– The student is currently in or has already completed first year or higher
  7. International ME/MTech (Post-BSc)– Student is currently in 1st/2nd/3rd/4th year or has already completed
  8. International ME/MTech/MPharma or Dual Degree (after Diploma/10+2)– Student is currently in 3rd/4th/5th year or has already completed
  9. B.Sc/ B.A/ B.Com– Student is currently in 3rd year or has already completed it
  10. International M.Sc. / International B.S. / M.S.– The student is currently in or has already completed the 3rd year or higher
  11. Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch)– Have completed Section A or equivalent of such professional courses

GATE 2025 Exam Pattern

  • The GATE 2025 exam will be of 03 hours duration.
  • There will be three types of questions in the GATE 2024 exam: MCQs/Multiple Choice Questions, MSQs/Multiple Choice Questions and NAT/Numerical Answer Type Questions.
  • For all the 30 subjects there will be a section in the GATE exam named General Aptitude, This section will have questions of 15 marks common to all the question papers.
  • Negative marking in GATE exam will be as follows: 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer of 1 mark question, and 2/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer of 2 mark question.
  • There will be no negative marking for MSQs and NAT questions in GATE 2025 exam.
  • The total marks for GATE 2025 is 100.
    • General Ability questions will be of 15 marks
    • Engineering Mathematics questions will be of 13 marks
    • The questions of the selected subject will be of 72 marks
  • For non-engineering subjects, the questions of the selected subject will be of 85 marks

  1. The online portal for GATE 2025 exam is not active yet.
  2. The conducting authority will soon release the application form submission dates for GATE 2025 exam.
  3. The application form for GATE 2025 exam will be submitted on the official website along with the documents/photo/signature and fee.
