Indian Coast Guard Navik Recruiting 2022: Essential Books, Preparation Tips

Registration portal for recruiting Indian Coast Guard sailors (ICGN), 2022 is now open, but only for male candidates. Interested candidates can fill out letter of application on the official website.

The official exam date will be announced shortly. Candidates aged 18-22 have until January 14, 2022 to apply for the positions at Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik.

Other than that Navik admission ticket Will be given to the successfully registered candidates a few days before the exam date. The examination body has not yet made an examination plan available to the candidates.

The ICG Navik Recruitment Exam is conducted in four phases. Level 1 comprises five different types of work that are compulsory for all applicants, regardless of the position they have applied for. The questions in this paper will cover the Grade 10 sections Math, Science, GK, English, and Argumentation. Candidates who applied for Navik (GD) must also try Paper II. Then candidates applying for Mechanical must also try Paper III / IV / V depending on their electrical / electronic / mechanical background. With the ICG Navik Recruitment Exam approaching, candidates need to use their time carefully and prepare strategically. Here are some tips to help candidates:

  • Planning is the key to any exam. Develop a strategy and set up a schedule.
  • Understand the exam pattern, the types of questions asked, the weighting of different areas, and frequently asked concepts. Try to solve questions from previous years to improve clarity.
  • Make sure your basics are good before moving on to more difficult questions.
  • Read articles and newspapers as this will help you score better in English and GK.
  • Take notes: Write down all the formulas and key points in a separate book.
  • Try mock exams: Register for test series offered by websites or other institutes to understand the weak points and practice accordingly.
  • Use YouTube and other resources on the internet to understand difficult concepts and clear up doubts.

The ICG Navik Recruitment Exam is conducted each year to recruit potential candidates for the Indian Coast Guard. Candidates who have passed the 10 + 2 exam in math and physics can apply for Navik (GD); Candidates who have passed 10th grade are eligible to apply for Navik (DB), and candidates with a Diploma or B.Tech in an electrical / mechanical / electronics / telecommunications degree can apply for mechanical engineering. Applicants can only apply for one of these positions per year.

Phase I of the exam is computer-based. Qualified candidates are selected for Phase II, which consists of a physical fitness test, a document review and a preliminary medical examination. Candidates who pass Level II will move on to Level III, which includes document review, final medical exam at INS Chilka, submission of original document, and police review.

Shortlisted candidates will be selected for Phase IV of Recruitment, where they will be selected for training at INS Chilka based on performance lists and job vacancies. Indian Coast Guard result Phase III and IV will be announced in August 2022.
