Indian Navy MR Written Exam / PFT Exam Date – To announce

Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern looks like this:

Computer-aided examination

  • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and computer based Lens type (multiple choice).
  • The question paper consists of a total of 50 questions, each of which has an 01 stamp.
  • The question paper consists of two sections, namely science and math and general knowledge
  • The standard of the question paper is the same as that of the 10th grade and the syllabus and sample paper for the exam are available on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
  • The exam takes 30 minutes.
  • Candidates must pass in all sections and overall. The Navy reserves the right to set the registration marks in each section and overall.
  • Wrong answer penalty. Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative mark) for incorrect answers that were flagged by a candidate in the questionnaire. There are four alternatives for answering each question. For each question to which the candidate gave an incorrect answer, a quarter (0.25) the points assigned to this question will be deducted as a penalty.

Science and Mathematics:

  1. Nature of matter, universe (planets / earth / satellites / sun), electricity and their uses.
  2. Force and Gravity, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, and Power.
  3. Heat, temperature, metals and non-metals, carbon and its compounds, measurements in science, sound and wave movement, atomic structure.
  4. Mathematical Simplification, Ratio and Proportion, Algebraic Identities, Linear Equations and Polynomials, Simultaneous Equations, Basic Trigonometry.
  5. Simple measurement, geometry, measures of central tendency (average, median and mode).
  6. Interest, profit, loss and percentage, labor, time, speed and distance.

General knowledge:

  1. Geography: soil, rivers, mountains, ports, inland, ports.
  2. Culture and Religion, Freedom Movement, Key National Facts About India, Cultural Heritage, Arts and Dance.
  3. History, Defense, Wars and Neighbors, Awards and Authors, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition.
  4. Current affairs, languages, capitals and currencies, common names, full forms and abbreviations.
  5. Notable People, National: Bird / Animal / Sports / Flower / Hymn / Song / Flag / Monuments.
  6. Sports: championships / winners / conditions / number of players.

Indian Navy MR / NMR Physical Fitness Test (PFT) :

(one) Qualification in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.

(B) PFT consists of a 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT do so at their own risk.

Advisory: – Knowledge of sports, swimming, and extracurricular activities are desirable.

Medical MR / NMR standards of the Indian Navy :

  1. The medical examination is carried out by authorized military doctors in accordance with the medical standard prescribed in the applicable regulations for sailors upon entry.
  2. Minimum height 157 cm. Weight and chest size should be proportionate. Minimal chest extension of 5 cm. Details of the minimum level standards for entry into the Indian Navy as sailors, including the relaxations that apply, can be found on the official recruitment website.
  3. The candidate must be in good physical and mental condition and must not have any deficiencies that are likely to impair the efficient performance of tasks on land and at sea under conditions of peace and war in accordance with Navy Order (Special) 01/2008. An extract of the Navy Order is available from the Indian Navy official recruiting website.
  4. The preliminary medical examination for recruitment is only deemed to be “temporarily fit, subject to suitability for the final medical examination”. Final enrollment Medical examination of all selected candidates will be carried out at INS Chilka. Candidates who are found medically fit in the final medical matriculation examination will be enrolled. Candidates found medically unfit are advised to appeal the results to INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam, within a maximum of 21 days if they so choose.
