About Indian Navy SSR Recruitment:

Indian Navy is the central government agency responsible for recruiting various positions for naval personnel. Indian Navy had invited batch applications for February 2022 starting October 2021. Exam Pattern for Indian Navy Sailor:

Exam pattern for the SSR written exam is as follows:

(one) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and of an objective nature.
(B) The question paper is divided into 04 parts and each part consists of 25 questions (100 questions in total).
(C) The question paper consists of four sections ie English, Science, Math and General Knowledge.
(D) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10 + 2.
(e) The duration of the question paper is one hour (60 minutes).
(F) Candidates must pass in all sections and overall.
(G) Wrong answer penalty. Candidates should note that a penalty (negative evaluation) applies for incorrect answers that were marked by a candidate in the questionnaire. There are four alternatives for answering each question. For each question to which the candidate gave an incorrect answer, a quarter (0.25) of the score assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
(h) Candidates must pass all sections and overall. The Navy reserves the right to set the registration marks in each section and overall.

02. Mechanics of solids and liquids, thermal thermodynamics, vibrations, waves, electrostatics, electricity.

03 Magnetic effect of electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic induction and alternating current, electromagnetic waves.

04. Optics, dual nature of matter and radiation, atomic nucleus / solid-state and semiconductor components, principles of communication.

05. Metals and non-metals, organic chemistry, food, nutrition and health, human physiology and diseases, computer science.

MATHEMATICS

01. Relationships and functions, logarithms, complex numbers, quadratic equations, sequences and series, trigonometry.

02. Cartesian system of rectangular coordinates, straight lines Family of straight lines, circles.

03 Conic sections, permutations and combinations, vectors, exponential and logarithmic series, sets and set theory, statistics.

04. Introduction to three-dimensional geometry, probability function, limits and continuity, differentiation, applications of derivatives.

05. Indefinite integrals Binomial theorem, matrices, determinants, definite integrals.

ENGLISH

01. Passage, preposition, sentence correction, change from active to passive / passive to active.

02. Switch directly to indirect / indirect to direct, verbs / tense / non-finiteness, punctuation marks.

03 Replacing phrase verbs for the phrase, synonyms and antonyms, meanings of difficult words.

04. Use of adjective, compound preposition, determiners (use of a, the, any etc), use of pronouns.

GENERAL AWARENESS

01. Culture and religion, geography: soil, rivers, mountains, ports, inland ports, freedom movement.

02. Sport: Championships / Winner / Conditions / No. of players, defense, wars and neighbors, current affairs.

03 Key National Facts About India, Heritage & Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies.

04. National: bird / animal / sport / flower / anthem / song / flag / monuments, important personalities.

05. Common names, full forms and abbreviations, discoveries, diseases and diets, awards and authors.

06. Spatial, numerical, logical and associative skills, sequences, spelling, decoding, coding and decoding

Physical fitness test (PFT):

PFT consists of a 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT do so at their own risk. Approximately 8,000 candidates will be called for PFT and pre-employment screening.

Physical examination :

(a) The medical examination is carried out by authorized military doctors in accordance with the medical standards required by the applicable regulations for sailors upon entry.

(b) Minimum height 157 cm. Weight and chest size should be proportionate. Minimal chest extension of 5 cm.

(c) The initial medical examination for recruitment is only deemed to be “temporarily fit subject to suitability for the final medical examination”. The final medical examination of all selected candidates will be carried out at INS Chilka. Candidates who are found to be NOT medically fit during the final medical examination at INS Chilka will NOT be enrolled for training. After the final medical matriculation examination at INS Chilka, no “complaint” for review is permitted.
