The International Mathematical Olympiad (IOM) is a competition that takes place every two years. National and International Mathematical Olympiad exams examine students’ analytical skills in mathematics at the school level. Every year, students in grades 1 to 12 compete in the International Mathematical Olympiad to determine their actual potential in mathematics.

Eligibility criteria for iOM 2021-22

According to iOM qualification requirements 2021-22,

  • The iOM 2021-22 Level 1 test is open to all students in grades 1 to 12.
  • Students who are placed in the top 1000 in each class at Level 1 are eligible to enter Level 2.
  • Only holders of level 2 rank 1 in grades 6 to 12 can take the level 3 test.

Structure of the IOM

IOM-2021: Structure of the IOM students who pass each level of the Olympiad are eligible to advance to the next level.

  • Level 1: Students in grades 1 to 12 can take part in level 1.
  • Level 2: Only the top 1000 rank holders of the previous level are eligible to take part in the second level of the Olympics. Level 2 is also open to first-placed students in all classes with at least 75% of the grades.
  • Stage 3: The third stage of IOM 2021 will be held in New Delhi, India and is open to Grade 6 through Grade 12 holders.

  • Print out the form to use in the next step.

IOM 2021-2022 exam template and curriculum

It is a one-hour multiple-choice test with no negative evaluation according to the iOM exam template 2021-22. It consists of 40 questions for students in grades 1 through 2 and 50 questions for students in grades 3 through 12. The following is the comprehensive iOM 2021-22 test format by class:

IOM 2021 result

  • The results of the IOM 2021-22 Level 1 will be published online in February / March 2022.
