Many media houses have long published reports of PHED recruitment in Rajasthan. Now the board of directors has made an official announcement against all of these reports. According to the Rajasthan Personnel Selection Committee, it has been decided to begin the recruitment process for 1,309 vacant positions in the technical cadre soon. Further reports indicate that the board has accepted the ministry’s proposal and has begun preparations to hold the exams for at least 368 junior engineers.

A few days ago a high-level meeting between the PHED ministers and the RSSB was concluded in Jaipur. The participants at the meeting were Minister PHED, Mahesh Joshi, RSSB President Hari Prasad Sharma and ACS Sudhansh Pant, PHED Department. Vacant positions in the PHED department were on the agenda for the meeting. According to Mahesh Joshi, PHED minister, the ministry has submitted a proposal to the Rajasthan Personnel Selection Committee to initiate the recruitment process for 1,309 positions for 368 junior engineers and technical staff.

Although this proposal was presented in July 2021 itself, no steps were taken by the board even after 7 months. But now that the department is facing a staff shortage in the field. Therefore, it is very important to start the recruiting process soon and soon hire manpower for the incomplete projects that are on the board of directors. In order to speed up the whole process, the ministry has asked the CEO to complete the recruitment process at the earliest.

The President of the RSSB Board of Directors, Hari Prasad Sharma, also commented on the whole matter, saying that the Board had accepted the proposal and that preparations to fill the vacant positions were in full swing. With these comments it is now speculated that we will shortly see the complete job advertisement for the positions for Junior Engineer and Technical Posts.

So far, no exam dates, educational qualifications or selection processes have been communicated by the board. However, since the hiring involves a technical position, the basic academic qualification can be a graduate engineer or ITI. Apart from that, according to various online sources, the selection process may include a written exam followed by a practical exam and a document review. Candidates should note that this is all speculation and that the actual data will be released as soon as the board releases the official notice. You are advised to visit the official website of the RSSB regularly for the latest updates on the recruitment process.
