On December 17, 2021, the university management announced that the CUCET exam for UG and PG courses at central institutions will be carried out by the NTA from the academic year 2022-23. The approval notices are expected to be distributed in March 2022.

The Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national level exam conducted by one of the central institutions, and the government recommends that CUCET be conducted in all 54 Central Universities from the 2022-2023 academic year.

What is the CUCET 2022 exam?

CUCET is a national level entrance examination that admits students to 54 central universities across India for UG, PG and integrated programs.

In the past, students were assessed after the 12th grade, today you have to take a standard aptitude test and pass with qualifying grades.

The modalities for this proficiency test are recommended by a group of seven.

The exam is a computer-based test conducted twice a year by the NTA and is coming soon for the 2022-2023 class.

According to a recent recommendation, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Milia Islamia, Jawahar Lal Nehru University and many more universities would hold this exam for the first time.

The NEP agreed to introduce a joint entrance test instead of a performance-based competition for admission to such universities.

According to the article in the TOI daily newspaper, the question paper covers the following topics:

Oral communication skills

Ability to think quantitatively

Argue logically

Subject-specific examination (to be selected by the student when completing the form)

Material provided is based on the 2021 sample and curriculum; current events can be integrated into the pattern. However, no clarification has been provided as notification to the government is expected shortly.

CUCET 2022 Curriculum: Expected Topics

In the following, the expected topics for the UG or integrated courses of this entrance exam are listed.

From CUCET. expected non-engineering course topics

There is only one test paper for this session. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from the following disciplines. Examples of these skills are English, Numerical aptitude / data interpretation, Analytical skills, reasoning, general aptitude, and general knowledge.

From CUCET. expected topics of the engineering course

Part A consists of 25 multiple-choice questions from the following disciplines. Examples of these skills are English, Numerical aptitude / data interpretation, Analytical skills, reasoning, general aptitude, and general knowledge.

Part B is a domain knowledge-based segment that tests you on topics related to physics, chemistry, and biology.

Sections I and II (physics) must be completed (chemistry). Only one section out of Sections III and IV should be attempted and answered, either Mathematics (Section III) or Biology (Section IV). If a candidate correctly answers both the math and biology sections, the best of the three sections, Sections I, II and either III or IV, will be reviewed and used to prepare the results.
