The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a motion to investigate the manipulation of OMR sheets in the NEET-UG exam. The Supreme Court rejected the petition, but said at first glance that there had been no tampering or interference in the NTA’s office.
The matter of the NEET-UG examination was challenged in court
The court said that only 5 candidates appeared to the court to challenge the NEET-UG exam issue while about 15.44 lakh students took that exam. In fact, 5 students who had taken the NEET-UG exam had filed a petition with the Supreme Court requesting an investigation into the manipulation of OMR sheets.
In the petition, the National Testing Agency (NTA) was accused of manipulating the NEET-UG candidates’ OMR scorecards. The court said that their OMR sheets had been shown to the petitioners.
The court said that the NTA cannot be said to indulge in any form of manipulation.
