Maharashtra Lockdown News: With COVID-19 cases increasing exponentially in the state, the Maharashtra state government has announced new restrictions and restrictions to curb the spread of the 3rd to controlapprox Wave of pandemic. New COVID-19 guidelines announced by CMO Uddhav Thackeray
As the state grapples with the rapidly rising Omicron surge amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray held a high-level review meeting and introduced new lock-like restrictions and preventive measures. To avoid confusion among people, the new COVID-19 guidelines and preventive measures were announced through the official Twitter account of CMO Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray. All stakeholders, including students, parents, and school administrators, are encouraged to review these guidelines and prepare accordingly for the next month.
COVID-19 guidelines for schools, colleges, coaching centers
School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad had previously announced that the decision on school closings would be left to the district judges, who can decide on them depending on the spread of COVID-19 in their jurisdiction. On the other hand, University Minister Uday Samant ordered the closure of all colleges, universities and colleges earlier this week.
Among the various measures announced by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday, there are several important points related to educational institutions. The following educational activities are exempt from the lockout restrictions announced by the CM.
- Educational institutions involved in preparatory activities for various educational boards for 10th and 12th grade students are exempt from COVID-19 policies and restrictions
- Administrative tasks to be performed by teachers at school level, with the exception of classroom teaching, are also excluded
- Activities specifically directed or approved by the Department of School Education, the Department of Skills and Entrepreneurship Development, a Department of Technical and Higher Education, the Department of Medical Education, the Department of Women and Child Development, or any legal authority.
- Exceptions required by these departments and regulatory agencies due to urgency must be approved by SDMA.
