Bhubaneswar: Good and great news for job seekers who are concerned about their age limit for applying for government jobs is that the age limit for government jobs has been raised.
The Odisha cabinet, which met tonight under the leadership of Prime Minister Naveen Patnaik, approved 12 key proposals, including raising the age limit for government posts.
The government of Odisha has given its green signal to raise the age limit for government posts from 32 to 38.
Minister Suresh Chandra Mahapatra briefed people on cabinet decisions through the media and said the cabinet had decided to extend the age limit for entering the civil service from 32 to 38 for three years until 2023 due to the Covid situation and the recruitment exams not appearing and in expired in the last two years for reasons of age.
According to Mahapatra, the age limit for male candidates has been increased by three years and the age limit for female candidates has been increased by five years.
The prime minister also nodded to the non-government colleges, junior colleges and higher secondary schools in Odisha, which were approved in 2022.
Odisha’s cabinet also approved the tender proposals for Megapipe water supply plans for Samakhunta, Kaptipada and Baripada blocks of Mayurbhanj district; Banki, Dampada Baranga in the Cuttack district; Jujumora, Maneswar Naktideula, Rairakhol Blocks of Sambalpur District; and the Saraskana, Kuliana and Bangiriposi blocks of the Mayurbhanj district.
The chief secretary said that the construction of these tap water supply systems would be completed in 2 years from the date of the execution agreement.
