UPSC Mains 2021: Optional Paper Strategy from Experts

Before appearing for the optional paper, candidates must revise or refresh the topics currently in the news. This means that they have to revise all theories about the events of the last 6 months.

Also, they need to provide some examples to support their theories.

Experts advise candidates to simply go through their most difficult topics on the last day of preparation and not study a word before the actual exam.

The candidates spend the whole year with their elective, so they should feel safe in it too. Confidence and underestimation only lead to poor performance.
