The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has published record recruitment for 8085 Lekhpal posts. The online application has started and will run until January 28, 2022. The written exam is carried out in online mode. The exam is rated with 100 points and consists of 100 questions divided into 25 questions from all four sections. There are 25 questions from general Hindi, mathematics, general knowledge and village society and development. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours or 120 minutes. All questions are multiple choice, with a 1/4 negative rating for each incorrect answer.

In mathematics, questions are asked about number system, percentage, loss of profit, classification of statistical data, frequency, frequency distribution, tabulation, cumulative frequency. General Knowledge asks questions about general science, current events of nation and international importance, history of India, Indian national movement, Indian politics and economy, world geography and population. Questions are asked about general knowledge and understanding of the natural sciences, including questions related to general science, subjects of daily experience and observation. In the history of India one should pay attention to a thorough knowledge of economic, social, cultural and political aspects. Candidates are asked questions about the Indian constitution on the Indian national movement.
