XAT 2022 Tomorrow: Review Last Minute Prep Tips and Exam Day Guidelines

XAT 2022 will take place on January 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. The XAT Admission Card was released on December 24, 2021 and candidates can download it by exam day. XLRI has posted an exam day video on its official website – xatonline.in. CHAT 2022 results will be announced on January 31, 2022.

CHAT 2022 consists of 2 parts – the first part consists of verbal and logical skills with 26 questions, decision making with 21 questions and quantitative skills and data interpretation with 28 questions. Part 1 consists of a total of 75 questions with a time limit of 165 minutes. Part 2 contains 25 general knowledge questions and 1 essay question. The general knowledge section is not taken into account, so there are a total of 3 main sections.

Candidates have a total of 25 minutes to complete Part 2. Exam preparation should be done in accordance with the revised entrance exam format and curriculum. As you study for the exam, you should follow the exam pattern and make sure you are familiar with the format, number, and type of questions.

Unlike CAT, XAT is not a speed test. Therefore, for last minute preparation, candidates need to know the type of questions that will be asked in XAT, especially the critical reasoning questions in the oral section and the decision-making section. The essay is a whole new section introduced in XAT 2022.

In order for candidates to tackle the essay in a limited amount of time, they should prepare several essay topics in advance. To do this, they must have a thorough knowledge of the GK and current affairs. Review the basic grammar rules for Verbal Skills and Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, and Numbers for the Quant section.

Fast computational techniques are designed to help candidates solve a maximum number of questions in a short period of time. Decision Making (DM) is the crucial part of the XAT 2022 exam as it includes questions related to business issues, ethical dilemmas, attitude issues, etc. Candidates neglect this section to study other sections, but end up struggling to reach the cutoff as the DM section scores too low.

Allocate at least 30 to 40 minutes to the DM section as this is the most time consuming section. Even if it is the weakest section of the candidates, they should allow at least 50 minutes for this section and try the beginning rather than the last. Hold 20 minutes for the strongest section at the end. Pick simple questions that you need to answer first and leave out the difficult questions that you need to try later. Try to avoid the mistakes you made while trying mock tests.

Don’t guess the highlighting unless you are sure the answer is between two specific options on a given question. Try answering 15-18 questions from each section for the first try, and then come back to learn more. The XAT 2022 cutoff scores should be around 90-94, including female and male engineers, as well as candidates without engineers.

In order for candidates to experience XAT 2022 without problems, they need to understand the exam guidelines. As the global pandemic continues, the safety protocols will be placed in the exam center, but candidates should also follow Covid guidelines announced by the government and examining authorities.

The candidates must have theirs XAT admission ticket, government-authorized photo ID (Aadhaar card / electoral ID card / PAN card / valid university ID / passport / driver’s license / ID card), a recent photo. Candidates should reach the examination center before closing time (9.20 a.m.) with all necessary documents, a mask, gloves, disinfectant, a transparent water bottle, a simple pen / pencil and a PwD certificate (if applicable).

Candidates should maintain social distance at all times within the examination center premises. Any clothing or clothing that contains metal is not allowed, only simple sweaters / cardigans are allowed. Electronic objects, jewelry, jackets, calculators are prohibited in the examination room.

Candidates should have the Arogya Setu app installed on their phone, if a smartphone is not available, candidates can submit the self-assessment form. The above test guidelines must be followed by every test taker. If a candidate is found not to adhere to these guidelines, their candidacy may be canceled.
